7: Building A Better Bluebird

In a second series of character studies, Staake was able to design a more simplified, steamlined and slightly caricatured bluebird that he felt was better suited to telling his unique story. "I was amazed to discover how much personality I could give to this new bluebird within the book. For such a simple character, it was remarkable to find what a range of emotions I could convey through the bluebird's simple gestures and facial expressions".
